USCIS Reaches H2B Cap For First Half of FY 2020

myattorneyusa.com
On November 20, 2019, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it reached the H2B cap for temporary nonagricultural workers for the first half of fiscal year 2020 [PDF version].

November 15, 2019, was the final receipt date for new cap-subject H2B petitions seeking an employment start date before April 1, 2020. Thus, the USCIS will reject all H2B petitions seeking an employment start date before April 1, 2020, received after November 15, 2019. The USCIS does, however, continue to accept H2B petitions that are exempt from the H2B cap.
